I started to consider my sketches something more when I was 18, after an exhibition at Villa Niscemi, in Palermo, under the name of "Mosaic", in 1999. Some of the pieces in this series are coming from there, others from more recent times and skill sets. I sometimes use a very cheap blue ink pen to draw as I did when I was even younger, during classes, since it reconnects me with that distant self who still dreams of the future I am now living, about freedom, lost worlds, and stars.
